Chatteris House is located in a rural setting offering easy access to the historic cities of Ely, Peterborough and Cambridge. A town with a rich history it has many fine examples of Georgian architecture, and has become a thriving and vibrant community, benefiting from a wide variety of specialist and high street shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, post office, chemists, surgery, dentist, opticians and library.

The area is very well served educationally, with a choice of pre-schools, two primary schools, and the Cromwell Community College, offering secondary and sixth form studies in the town. The prestigious independent King's School in Ely is within easy reach, as are Wisbech Grammar School and the Neale-Wade Community College in March. The town caters for a wide range of leisure pursuits for all ages, and many social, cultural and sporting activity groups meet regularly. A private swimming pool is open to residents via season ticket and the Mepal Outdoor Centre – located 2 miles outside the town – offers a full range of recreational and training facilities, from canoeing and sailing to climbing and indoor leisure pursuits.

Situated between Ely to the east, Peterborough to the west and Cambridge to the south, and close to major road links, Chatteris is ideally located for access to an excellent range of shopping and leisure facilities. Close proximity to Huntingdon, where the railway station offers a direct service to London King’s Cross, has made commuting to the capital a viable possibility for many residents.

For those looking to travel a little further, international flights are on offer at Stansted airport, just a few junctions down the M11 from Cambridge, or via direct rail service from Ely and March.
